Where I’ve Been, and the Game I Might Make

Date: April 7, 2026

I started this blog to document my progress learning to sew. But lately, I haven’t been sewing as much. There’s been another project taking up a lot of my time.

I’ve been working on a visual novel idea that I’ve been drawing sprites for, on and off, for years. For me, it’s the kind of idea that digs itself into the deepest layer of your brain and just stays there. Whenever I work on it, the amount of fun I have is just undeniable. You can still expect sewing updates from me here, but they might be a little less frequent.

I won’t pretend I have the kind of discipline that it takes to build a full game right now. But the way things are going for me, I think that it’s something I could grow into. I’ve decided to work on a condensed demo: a finishable slice that runs in the browser, and something that I can post right here on Neocities.

The Idea

The idea combines a branching story with a dress up system, where what you wear directly affects how other characters see you. I want a super girly vibe for this, inspired by 2000s browser dress-up games. Outfits influence dialogue, relationships, and events in the story. The story itself includes conflict, romance, and a murder mystery.

I’ve already started building it, and I’ll be sharing progress here as I go.

I don’t expect this project to be perfect, but I do want it to be something I’m proud of. I hope you’ll stick around for the ride :-)
